                                                               Re-opening Update

it’s been so great to see my clients, having our chats, and being able to be back to do what I love!

I thought to share all the steps and extra measurements that I take to keep my salon, you and myself safe in this little blog.

Before I start I should mention that I’ve been following all the protocols even before COVID, and I continue doing the same and more.

1) As always, I only see one client at a time, no double booking, and no having extra guests.

2) I have started using disposable caps and towels.

3) Masks are required, I ask everyone to wear a mask that covers the whole nose, mouth, and the chin, and you will see me with a N95 mask (medical grade), shield, gloves (all time) I wash and disinfect my hands even when have gloves on. Also, change my smock after each client.

4) I ask the client to disinfect or wash their hands at their arrival.

5) When I wash hair or work in front of a client, I do not speak and encourage the clients to do the same.

6) After each client, I disinfect the chair, cabinets, styling product’s jars, all the hot tools, and everything that I’ve touch while the client is in my chair, and all the things that the client has touched while visiting with a medical grade disinfectant wipes.

7) All brushes, combs, clips, color bowls goes in to a solution called Quats by Barbicide which kills viruses and bacterias.

8) I wipe clean my scissors with the medical grade wipes, and spray clean my clippers with a special disinfect spray.

9) I wash the shampoo bowl with soap and water and disinfect it with the medical grade wipes after each client.

10) As you know I have a HEPA filter air purifier that is good for a space that is two times bigger than my studio which takes care of viruses, dust, and chemicals. I now bring it out and keep it next to me and the client.

11) We also have a new central air purifying system which is based on what protocols requires a ventilation system to be.

12) I check temperature, and communicate with each individual prior to their appointment.

13) I also give 30 minutes in between each appointment to make sure the studio is clean ready for my next guest.

I hope this brings a level of comfort to you and hope to see you soon.
As always stay safe and healthy.
